Today is gong to be one of the hardest days in my life.

I already know, the memory will be bitter sweet.

You are my baby…you have seen so much.

Though you have never articulated a word,

Your actions have never demonstrated,

Anything less than love.

I can't believe I have to say goodbye to you…

But the time has come for you to rest.

I am sorry that I cry,

I can't help but think of all the memories...

The memories that will live in my heart forever.

You've listened when there were no other ears,

To hear the pain in my heart.

I will love you indefinitely,

And as hard as this is...

I must be grateful to have experienced,

A special connection to your soul.

I am going to choose to not say goodbye if that is ok,

Because this can't be goodbye.
