Venomous Thought / Pensamiento Venenoso

"You don't know what I lived through.
It was horrible, a person shouldn't be exposed to such madness"
While these words ring true
there comes a point where we become adults.
The pains we suffered should never be forgotten in the sense
they were not important.
The incidents of the past molded our character 
as to who we are today.
But there comes a time that the unpleasant memories
turn into venomous thoughts.
Nothing good stems from them,
even in sharing the experience takes on a negative aura.
It's not east to let go.
But the alternative is to hold on.
And the question should become "what am I holding on to?"
Is is worth carrying the pain?
Is it worth remembering the negative episodes of our past?
What can be done to change that moment?
Nothing…except to change your perception.
If you hold on to the negativity and carry it for a day,
a week, a month, a year…then it continues to grow.
If on the other hand, you come to a level of peace
in a way that fits life your productively, then you move on.
Your mind is open to think of better things.
More importantly, your time allows your better thoughts
to become a reality.
This is peace, and this is love.
This is more fulfilling than holding onto the past.

Mientras estas palabras son verdad
llegamos al punto de ser adultos.
Los dolores no deben ser olvidados en el sentido 
que no fueron importantes.

Pero llega el momento que las memorias desagradables
se convierten en pensamientos venenosos.
Nada bueno surge de estos pensamientos,
hasta compartir las experiencias toman un aura negativa.
No es facil liberarse.
Pero la alternativa es aguantarlo.
Y la pregunta debe ser "¿que estoy aguantando?"
¿Vale la pena acarrear el dolor?
¿Vale la pena recordar un evento negativo de el pasado?
¿Que puedo hacer para cambiar ese momento?
Nada...a excepción de cambiar su percepción.
Si retiene lo negativo y lo carga por un día,
una semana, un mes, un año…entonces continua creciendo.
Por el contrario, si llega a un nivel de paz
en forma que deje su vida ser productiva, siga adelante.
Su mente esta abierta a cosas mejores.
Mas importante, su tiempo le permite mejores pensamientos
que se conviertan en realidad.
Esto es paz y esto es amor.
Esto le da mas plenitud que retener el pasado.

    I actually remember getting to this point in my life. Just a few months back..........I can't even describe it other than to say I was overcome by the intense feeling of PEACE and contentment :) I had never felt that my entire life and it continues now filling my heart every day since.
