Through Hardships

I love light, I seek truth,

staying positive is at my core.

But I can't ignore the darks days,

the mishaps, the pain.

As difficult as some of those moments were,

I wouldn't change them for the world.

After each situation,

I had the opportunity to learn, 

forgive others, forgive myself.

I grew in compassion, understanding,

empathy and love.

My tenacity for good grew

through each hardship.
