Meant to See

It's within me,

to choose how I will feel.

Will I be flustered, unfocused or

will I own my life and make things happen.

The latter of the two seems more sensible.

So much can't be changed,

spending energy on it feels wasteful.

As I look out the window,

there is life, color, passion beauty…

I must stay here.

simply cover what I'm meant to see.
